Pool Season Update continued

Pool Policies – We would like to ask every homeowner to sign in as they enter the pool this season. The obligation of the LVHA is to ensure the pool is available to homeowners and their guests only. The guards will be requesting everyone to sign the pool guest book. Any unauthorized visitors will be asked to leave the pool area.
Babies & toddlers in diapers swimming in the pool are required to wear a reusable swim diaper. The Marin County Health Code requires this type of diaper to insure water quality. Swimmers using the disposal (Little Swimmers) diapers will not be permitted in the pool. Swim diapers will be sold at the guard station.
Children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the pool area without an adult (age 16 or older). Although your child may be a good swimmer, please do not send them to the pool without an adult. If your child needs guidance or help, an adult over the age of 16 needs to be available at the pool.

A WORD TO PARENTS: Please stay close to your children. We currently allow floatation devices on your toddlers (at the discretion of the guards), yet we must INSIST a parent or adult is in the water with that child at all times. Do not allow your child to bob in the pool with a floatie while you stand on deck, or sit in a chair. The guards will ask your child to come out of the pool until you can get in the water with them. This is an absolute to keep your child and the rest of the pool safe. You must be able to swim the entire length of the pool unassisted in order to swim in the deep end of the pool.  Also, please remind your children they are not allowed on the roof or to climb over the fence by the back lawn. All members need to sign in at our front entry, including children.

Pool Safety – Please review our pool rules. There is a copy of these rules included in this month’s Vibrations and at the pool with the sign–in book. Please take a moment to review the rules. Parents, please review the Pool Rules with your children as they contain important safety information pertaining to appropriate pool behavior. The safety of the deck and swim area of the pool is crucial to the safety of all our swimmers. A few very important things to remember:
Parents: - Children must be supervised, while swimming, while playing on the deck and in the baby pool. The lifeguards are responsible for every person in the pool, not just one child.   Diving is allowed only in the deep end of the pool.

Baby Pool – Parents must accompany their children at the toddler’s pool at all times. Reusable swim diapers are required and available for sale at the guard’s station. No swimmers over 5 years old in the pool. No rough play in the baby pool.
Lifeguards Rule. The guards have the direction and support of the committee to enforce all rules as well as ask swimmers who do not comply to leave the pool area. The parents of children asked to leave the pool will be called by a committee member. Please don’t make us call you!
