Our loving mom, has died peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 86. Proudly she worked up until her death. Throughout her life she mentored, served and helped thousands. Catherine was a larger than life energy, passionate about many civic causes; serving on boards of the arts and sciences. She reveled in her garden, music, great chocolate, wine, and world travel.
Catherine is survived by her loving daughters Lisa Munson and husband Terry, Shelley Munson, and Adrienne Hart. She was very proud of her grandson, Sean Stewart. She is preceded in death by her first husband Bill Munson, and her second husband Bud Sthymmel. She knew how lucky she was to have found romantic love twice.
Catherine loved being a real estate broker and owned her own company for 56 years. She is an Icon with Eichler homes. Her life began in humble beginnings in Nebraska and she was a self made woman who forged her own path in every way.
The celebration of her life, the gathering of us all to send her love, will take place at The Marin Veteran's Memorial Auditorium at the Marin Civic Center in San Rafael, on Thursday, March 27. Doors will open at 1:00PM, the service will begin at 2:00PM, with music, food, and joy to continue afterwards. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Project Amigo, 14 Commercial Blvd., Ste 119 Novato, CA 94949.
